THE REGION

Fallbrook is a growing wine-producing area with soil made of decomposed granite– perfect for the vineyards. We’ve found that our climate is ideal for the Rhone varietals of grapes, but we can grow just about anything that can tolerate a little heat.

In August 2024 Fallbrook became part of the newly designated San Luis Rey AVA! The area sits at relatively low elevations and is located close to the Pacific coastline creating cooler temperatures. The bedrock supporting the San Luis Rey AVA is generally older and richer in sandy loam, a point of differentiation and potential advantage than the surrounding areas.

Myrtle Creek Vineyards produces quality red, white, and rosé wines. We grow Syrah, Grenache, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier grapes on our estate. We also procure grapes from select local vineyards in limited quantities.

All of our wines are hand crafted in small lots in our own facilities, and most of our grapes are farmed right here in the Fallbrook/Bonsall area.
