About Myrtle Creek Vineyards

Myrtle Creek Vineyards is a boutique winery making quality, hand-crafted wines in small batches. Founded by Matt Sherman and his father, the first vines were planted by the family in August of 2011 on the grounds of the old family orchards, and the first wines were made in Matt’s garage in 2011. The vintage was coined Syrage – Syrah made in the garage! And from there it was history. The tasting room was opened in September of 2017.

Our founder, Matt Sherman, put his heart and soul into Myrtle Creek Vineyards. Despite battling cancer, his spirit never wavered. He was all about enjoying the moment – making great wines, listening to good music, and sharing that energy with guests. That joy and passion of his can be felt everywhere at the winery, from the way the vines are tended to the wine in your glass.

At Myrtle Creek, it’s not just about making fantastic wines, it’s about creating a place where anyone can come and find a little bit of joy. Since Matt’s passing in March 2023, Audrey Sherman, his wife, has continued to operate the business. Audrey wants to make sure every guest experiences the happy place Matt created. The community here means the world to her, and she keen on keeping that connection strong, just like Matt would have wanted. It’s a special place, Myrtle Creek, where the doors are open, the bottles are ready, and the hearts are full.

AUDREY SHERMAN, OWNER

Audrey is the proud owner of Myrtle Creek, a family vineyard and winery created with a commitment to excellence. After the passing of her beloved husband Matt, who founded and operated the winery with passion and vision, Audrey has taken the reins to continue in his honor. With respect for the legacy they built together, she has embraced the challenge of managing the winery, preserving its traditions, and ensuring continued success. Guided by a love for the land, a commitment to quality, and a passion for community, Audrey is dedicated to crafting wines that tell the story of her late husband's dream and her own vision for the future.

MANDY WOODROW, GENERAL MANAGER

Mandy is the General Manager of Myrtle Creek, where she combines her deep passion for wine with expertise in managing the day-to-day operations of the winery. With a genuine love for viticulture and winemaking, Mandy brings a unique blend of leadership, knowledge, and enthusiasm to the team. Whether overseeing production, developing new wine offerings, or creating memorable guest experiences, Mandy is dedicated to ensuring every bottle reflects the winery's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Her passion for wine is evident in every aspect of her work, and she is driven by the belief that great wine starts with great people and a deep connection to the land.
