The Region
Fallbrook is a growing wine-producing area with soil made of decomposed granite– perfect for the vineyards. We’ve found that our climate is ideal for the Rhone varietals of grapes, but we can grow just about anything that can tolerate a little heat.
In August 2024 Fallbrook became part of the newly designated San Luis Rey AVA! The area sits at relatively low elevations and is located close to the Pacific coastline creating cooler temperatures. The bedrock supporting the San Luis Rey AVA is generally older and richer in sandy loam, a point of differentiation and potential advantage than the surrounding areas.
The Wine
Myrtle Creek Vineyards produces quality red, white, and rosé wines. We grow Syrah, Grenache, Sangiovese, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier grapes on our estate. We also procure grapes from select local vineyards in limited quantities.
All of our wines are hand crafted in small lots in our own facilities, and most of our grapes are farmed right here in the Fallbrook/Bonsall area. We think that our personal care and attention to detail shows in our wines’ character. Come visit us and try it for yourself; you’ll be pleasantly surprised!

2022 Blanc de Blanc
A sparkling Chardonnay made in the traditional Champenoise method. Aromas of fresh backed croissant, with crisp apples and pears prelude a dry delicate mousse. Crisp acidity will prompt another sip. Celebrate anything all the time with this wine. 12.5% ABV

2020 Stepping Razor
100% Estate Sangiovese. Holding bold aromas of raspberry, warm brown sugar, and cedar prepare the palate for rich red fruit and polished tannins. This elegant, medium-bodied wine presents medium acidity and approachable fruit making it both food and sip friendly. Like a stepping razor, this wine is dangerously good! 16% ABV.

2020 Good Thing
50/50 Estate Grenache and Syrah. Rested and relaxed, this Estate blend shows bright Grenache presenting on the nose while rich and silky Syrah builds the palate. Medicinal notes of eucalyptus, with sour cherries, ripe strawberries and warm baking spices build this complex wine. 16.2% ABV.

2020 Under My Thumb
A garnet colored Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec aged in 100% French oak barrels. This elegant wine has well balanced tannins with ripe, dark fruit and cocoa notes. 15% ABV.

2020 Black Betty
100% Petit Sirah from the Morro Hills area of Fallbrook. This black beauty has a deep, rich color that is representative of the varietal. Blueberry, boysenberry, and cocoa notes on the nose. Firm tannin and acid structure are balanced on the palate, with dark fruit adding richness. Aged in French oak. 14.6% ABV.
